Grama Jyothi of Telangana as visualized by KCR:Bangaru Telangana Grama Jyothi Definition:
The Gram Jyothi Program has the brain child of Mr KCR and it has been launched in Devarapally Village to be developed a model village on 17-08-2015 and the Village located 16 kms away from Warangal Town. The Gram Jyothi programme aims to empower gram panchayats. The programme introduces a participatory approach in preparing village development plans involving the panchayats, self help groups, people and all interested in the holistic development of the village.
The programme lays stress on development of seven key sectors including drinking water and sanitation, health and nutrition, education, infrastructure, natural resources management, agriculture, social security and poverty reduction which are considered critical for the holistic development of the gram panchayat.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Raosaid that villages to be developed in next five years through “Grama Jyothi” Programme all over the state. CM said that Rs 25,000 crore will be spent on implementing the scheme over five years for all-round village development.
During a review meeting held in MCRHRD, CM detailed on the objective of ‘Grama Jyothi’ programme set to be launched from this Independence Day. CM drew the attention of Ministers, Collectos and other higher officials to the success stories of Panchayat Raj system in Telangana like Gangadevi Palle in Warangal, Ankapur in Nizamabad and Mulkanooru in Karimnagar districts. The villages are the shining examples for the potential of community participation, collective efforts and planning from below, the Hon’ble CM stated.
The Telangana Government will act as financial backbone and will encourage the villages to identify the priority areas of development for themselves. CM lamented that despite spending huge amounts through local bodies under various schemes, there have not been many fixed assets created. The Chief Minister opined that only through the participation of villages from the planning stages that such change can be fostered.

I would say that if the village perishes India will perish too. India will be no more India. Her own mission in the world will get lost. The revival of the village is possible only when it is no more exploited. Industrialization on a mass scale will necessarily lead to passive or active exploitation of the villagers as the problems of competition and marketing come in. Therefore we have to concentrate on the village being self-contained, manufacturing mainly for use. Provided this character of the village industry is maintained, there would be no objection to villagers using even the modern machines and tools that they can make and can afford to use. Only they should not be used as a means of exploitation of others.- M. K. Gandhi
MK Gandhi Further Said:
THE REAL India lies in the 7,00,000 villages. If Indian civilization is to make its full contribution to the building up of a stable world order, it is this vast mass of humanity that has….to be made to live again. We have to tackle the triple malady which holds our villages fast in its grip : (I) want of corporate sanitation ; (ii) deficient diet; (iii) inertia . . . They [villagers] are not interested in their own welfare. They don't appreciate modern sanitary methods. They don't want to exert themselves beyond scratching their farms or doing such labour as they are used to. These difficulties are real and serious. But they must not baffle us…
We must have an unquenchable faith in our mission. We must be patient with the people. We are ourselves novices in village work. We have to deal with a chronic disease. Patience and perseverance, if we have them, overcome mountains of difficulties. We are like nurses who may not leave their patients because they are reported to have an incurable disease. Villages have suffered long from neglect by those who have had the benefit of education. They have chosen the city life. The village movement is an attempt to establish healthy contact with the villages by inducing those who are fired with the spirit of service to settle in them and find self-expression in the service of villagers….
Those who have settled in villages in the spirit of service are not dismayed by the difficulties facing them. They knew before they went that they would have to contend against many difficulties, including even sullenness on the part of v India, having an agro-based economy, depends the most on its villages for growth. The gaon always has that distinct nostalgic charm that Indians alone can understand. Sarson ke khet, tea plantations, mud houses, clean air, charpaai, mitti, star-lit sky; these are just some of the happy things that we associate with life in an Indian village.
But unfortunately, that feeling is slowly waning. Poverty, lack of education, lack of sanitation, etc are the first associations that the media paints about Indian villages for our benefit. Here's a little fact: Gaons aren't a bad place to live. In fact, some of them are way better than any metro. And these exemplary examples prove just that. Villagers. Only those, therefore, who have faith in themselves and in their mission will serve the villagers and influence their lives.

It is not a new concept and everyone is familiar and would like to do something to their native village but in real practice no one does because he lacks motivation and even if he thinks to adopt the village from the government side he will not receive any kind of encouragement and he is not sure that amount will be spent for the purpose and cause as we know most of them are not sincere in their attempts.
I would like to compliment Mr Chandra Shekar Rao for the Vision he had in his mind and we are very fortunate to have a very good ,dynamic and understanding and he plans such that it never fails and he looks each and every aspect of it and he himself involves in the system . He has a rare character other than the politicians and he speaks in simple local language which attract the villagers . He knows what they wank and he has a clear vision how it should be developed. Telangana sate people are fortunate to have a such as CM and he wants the welfare of the people and definitely it will be great success. He himself involves the sytem and he involves all his Minister and MLA and even the IAS and IPS Officers as well. and we have surprised to note that the Chairman of Yashodha Hospital has given rs 1 carore and 30 guntas ol land for the Grama Jyothis scheme. He wanted to do this much earlier and he could not do it but with the initiation of CM’s call he has given.
If we can take the statistics of people who are staying in abroad and those who can afford to spend their money for the right cause that too for their own village this Grama Jyoti mission will be a successful mission . We are confident enough In Mr KCR Term he will fulfill the dreams of the Villagers and he in fact he has realized that village development leads to state development. Every one criticized him as we see there are no power cuts in telangana state and we will be surplus in power in near future. All small scale and large scale Industries and IT offices of Hyderabad are appreciating for giving uninterrupted power supply in spite of monsoon failure this year. Any state development is directly proportion to the supply of power.
I Was wondering recently organized Pres Meet with all top industries heads attended the meeting in Hyderabad at hi-tech hall very recently and he could able to answer all the questions with patience that too effectively without taking the help of the subordinates and ministers as well. WE could see how the good governance will be it is possible with Telangana government
Every one worried that IT industry will shift from Hyderabad and Real Estate will come down. More and more industries will shift from Hyderabad for every one surprise He has made a simple industrial policy within no time they will get permission in stipulated 2 weeks time that too on line. More and more industries are coming in around Hyderabad and even 10 districts of telangana as well.
Telangana State will become as Bangaru Telangan as every one visualizing … we hope it will happened undere the able leadership of Mr KCR ….and Team
